Guest lecture by Dr. Asier Garrido-Muñoz

We are pleased to invite you to a guest lecture “The Rule of Law in the EU in the Post-Truth Era” by Dr. Asier Garrido-Muñoz, Senior Lecturer in Public International Law and European Union Law, Jean Monnet Module Grant Coordinator (Erasmus+ programme), Chairman, Professional Advisory Committee on Public International Law and Human Rights at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands.
The event is organized jointly with the Jean Monnet Module “EU Law vs Disinformation”, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme and the Jean Monnet Chair “Advanced Studies on EU Values and Law: Ukrainian Context”.

The lecture could address the following issues:
- The evolution of rule of law protection in the EU: a historical perspective on key developments and challenges;
- Legal and institutional safeguards: an overview of the main instruments for protecting the rule of law, with a focus on Regulation 2020/2092;
- The fight against disinformation as a specific challenge arising in the ‘post-Truth Era’.
