Boston University is one of only three universities in Boston and Cambridge named to the prestigious Association of American Universities. Professor of Law Kevin Outterson will give a lecture course on ‘The United States Corporate Law’. Kevin Outterson is N. Neal Pike Scholar in Health and Disability Law at Boston University. He is also the founding Executive Director and Principal Investigator of Combating Antibiotic-Resistant Bacteria Biopharmaceutical Accelerator (CARB-X), that is to accelerate a diverse portfolio of innovative antibacterial products toward clinical development and regulatory approval. He is past editor-in-chief of the Journal of Law, Medicine & Ethics; current faculty co-advisor to the American Journal of Law & Medicine; past chair of the Section on Law,
Medicine & Health Care of the Association of American Law Schools; and the former President and member of the Board of the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics.
This course teaches the substantive law of business organizations (including agency, partnership, corporations, and LLCs), with substantial coverage of securities, mergers & acquisitions, and very brief introductions to tax and corporate finance.
