The Programme encompasses studies of both public and private international law. As far as public law is concerned, the Programme includes various courses addressing the law of international organizations, treaties law, environmental law, diplomatic and consular law etc. Special attention is paid to general provisions of public international law and its history. Students are encouraged to consider the law as the cross-border phenomenon and to scrutinize the interdependence between the law, international relations and global economy. Therefore, courses in economics are also included. Within the realm of private law students have an opportunity to study numerous courses each dedicated to particular issue, such as contracts, torts, intellectual property etc. Human rights protection constitute an important part of the tuition. In this respect the emphasis is put on European Convention on Human Rights and case law of European Court of Human rights.

The aim of the Programme is not only to gain theoretical knowledge, but also to foster practical skills that enable students to interpret and apply relevant international and trans-national instruments, case-law and doctrine in order to resolve various legal issues arising in the modern globalized world. The tuition is designed to train skills enabling students to work for international governmental and non-governmental organisations. Thus, students learn how to draft numerous legal documents (contracts, complaints, claims etc.), how to conduct correspondence and represent physical persons, companies and states in courts, tribunals and other bodies. Having completed the Programme students will be able to deal with the complicated tasks that demand conducting legal research and implementing innovations.
