The United Nations COP27 Climate Change conference, was held 6 – 18 November, 2022 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt. It was chaired by Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and attended by more than 90 heads of state and approximately 35,000 representatives and delegates from 190 countries.
Rinata Kazak distributed academic surveys and did the interviews for future research as a visiting scholar at the Linköping University in Sweden. This is a unique experience both for Rinata and for our University, as in addition to academic research, she participated in UN negotiations as an observer. Further, Rinata Kazak plans to analyze the data obtained in the surveys and present the results in several scientific publications.
The Ukrainian delegation presented its own pavilion at the 27th UN Conference of the Parties for the first time. The main topic was the environmental consequences of the war.
