The Department of Theory of State and Law

The department was founded in 1930 as an independent unit.

There are 11 lecturers at the department: 1 Professors, Doctors of Legal Sciences – O.V. Petryshyn,  1 Full Professor, Doctor of Historic Sciences – G.G. Demydenko; 1 Associate Professor, Doctor of Legal Sciences – S.P.Pogrebniak; 1 Associate Professor, Doctor of Historic Sciences – O.V.Zinchenko; 15 associate Professors, Candidates of Legal Sciences – I.V. Benedyk, L.V.Avramenko, L.L.Bogachova, M.A.Voronina, I.O.Bilia-Sabadash, D.V.Lukianov, S.M.Oleinykov, L.M.Pavlovska, I.V.Protsiuk, V.S.Smorodynskyi, I.V.Yakoviuk, L.M.Shypilov, G.O.Khrystova, M.G.Khaustova, G.V.Chapala;    1 associate Professor, Candidates of Historic Sciences – M.G.Okladna; 7 assistant Lecturers, Candidates of Legal Sciences – O.V.Khomenko, O.V.Pushniak, D.O.Vovk, V.Ye.Protasova, Yu.S.   Since 2002 the Department has been headed by the Academician, Vice-President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences ofUkraine, Professor    O.V. Petryshyn.

The following academic disciplines are taught at the department: Theory of State and Law, History of State and Law Studies, Comparative Jurisprudence, Legal Deontology.
